The advantages of being a mummy-enterpreneur

mompreneur 300x225 The advantages of being a mummy enterpreneur

I have always wanted to be a WAHM (work at home mum) since the day I held Ryan in my arms for the very first time. So when my 2 months of maternity leave was up, I was dreading going back to work.

But it’s been almost 2 years since then and I’m still in the world of the rat race, far from being a WAHM. But I do not give up. I work on it, even if it means a small step at a time. And that’s why I set up Penny’s Online Shop as a first baby step. Whether it will work towards me being a WAHM, I don’t know but it’s worth a try rather than not doing anything at all.

Today I came across an article from one of my favourite websites. It’s an article written by Lisa Druxman who is a mompreneur. The title of the article is called “It’s Great To Be a Mompreneur” and in it Lisa talks about the much wanted flexibility a mother would want for herself to be with her kids and a life for herself as well.

Lisa points out that it’s not easy to be a mompreneur (read her previous articles) but it is indeed rewarding in many ways. I believe every word of it. Her article gives me inspiration to strive harder towards achieving my ultimate goal. You can read Lisa’s article on the advantages of being a mompreneur here and from there you will find her other past articles as well.

Are there any other aspiring mompreneurs out there? Share with us your stories as our much needed inspiration!

I think these kids have some magic over us. Everyone who has had a child will want to be a stay at home mum! Good luck to us then!

You’re right, they sure have some divine power over us mothers. I don’t get it! :) But then again it makes us happy to be “overpowered” by these little souls…

Good to get to know another mummy on the same bandwagon. Let’s hope we reap the benefits of what we are striving for! :)
