One of baby’s pillowcase has many different types of animals printed on it. Over the weekend, we sat him down and pointed out some animals on the pillowcase and told him what they are. He sat there very focused on every word we said and would look back and forth at our faces and at the animals we pointed at.
After doing this for some time, we asked him where the elephant is on the pillowcase and he correctly pointed it out! We were so thrilled that we almost screamed the house down. He must’ve thought we’re crazy.
Each time after he correctly points at the elephant, we would clap our hands and he would grin happily.
Since then we started showing him more animals and by now he is able to point out the giraffe, elephant, bird and rabbit. And now, he doesn’t even wait for us to clap once he’s shown us the animals. He would clap first and looks expectantly at us to follow suit!
