We were very much looking forward to the shopping and massage trip to Bangkok which we have scheduled for this week. But since Abhisit declared a state of emergency in Bangkok last night, giving the go ahead to use force to end the protests of the red shirts, we’re left with no choice but to cancel the trip for now. No doubt we would still like to make the trip, it has to be scheduled for some other time. No one really knows when will be a good and safe time to visit Bangkok now.
Postponing the trip isn’t the worst part for me. We sent the little boy down south to the grandparents’ home so that he can be taken care of there while we go on the trip. Now that we aren’t going and he’s already at the grandparents’ for the week, it’s double whammy for the mummy. No trip, no son! *Cry cry*

No son, no trip but got time for good dinner (but food seems bland without the boy). And definitely more time to blog.
* Pat Pat* Dun worrie, Penny… You can make use of this opportunity to spend more time with your husband… and more ME TIME too!
bangkok is really a nice place if there were no protests…going on..
At least you’re not stuck there, that could be worst.
Consider it as a little holiday (locally) for you and hubby lor
Yay!!! Freedom!!! Ok, I am horrid but how many times can you be free like this? And you will now cherish going back to a quiet house more!! Ok, I already said I am bad.
Too bad for you. suppose to go Phuket next week. I hope it is not so much affected. Any idea?
Thank for post. I like the stories from your blog. Keep on updating.
Sf, food definitely tastes better when he’s around!
Can’t wait to take him home!
Emily, true, more me time and us time.
Jys, I agree. It’s quite a shopping paradise for us not to mention good food and spas!
Amy, I am thankful that it all happened before we stepped foot in the country!
Busy Bee, I guess you being the most experienced of mothers amongst us must’ve been through a lot to come to this stage of being “bad”. Haha.
Iris, think Phuket might be okay. So far no news about things there. Only in Bangkok. Hope you don’t have to cancel.
I always wanted to go to Bangkok and your little story is so moving…Thank you for sharing it! I hope there will be better times in Bangkok and you will visit the places you want.
I wish I could write such stories. Reading your posts makes me feel like I had that Bangkok experience myself!
