No honey for young babies

I was recently informed by a friend that babies below the age of one should not be fed honey. This is because honey contains certain bacteria that the baby’s system is unable to absorb. She didn’t explain more so I did a quick search and found what she said to be true.

that all features on a baby’s face grows except his eyes? I’ve read somewhere (pardon the memory, I can’t remember where from!) that the size of a baby’s eyes remain the same from birth. Apparently that is why babies look funny…

that babies will not grab something offered from the front? I read this in “What To Expect The First Year”. Apparently, if you offer something from the sides, the baby is more likely to grab it with his/her fingers.
