Changing looks

by Penny on September 26, 2009

Most parents want their kids to look like them. I remember wanting Ryan to look like me too. But when he was a newborn, he looked nothing like me. For a long time he really was a complete photocopy of his father. I got very small credits for his looks – only his eyelash was an attribute to me.

But guess what? As he grows, his looks have also gradually changed. He’s now looking more like me! :) Of course I’m totally pleased with that. Which parent wouldn’t be?

Now he has a mixture of looks from both of us. One look at him and us and you know he’s ours. Definitely no need to do any DNA testing, haha!

So if your child doesn’t look like you initially, don’t despair, there’s still chance of him or her looking more and more like you over time. Maybe the child just needs time to start picking out the best features in both parents ;) What a great deal, huh?
