I was first introduced to Eubos Cream Bath Oil for babies by a family friend. I was informed that Eubos Cream Bath Oil is effective in helping eczema and psoriasis conditions. Since baby suffered from mild eczema, we were willing to try anything that may improve his skin condition. Thus our experimenting with this cream bath oil. We’ve been very happy with this product because we find that baby’s skin problem occurrances have been significantly reduced when we discarded all the other bath products and substituted with this bath oil exclusively. We only find a patch or two of rough skin patches once in a while and that’s very easily taken care of with the use of Elomet cream.

Eubos Cream Bath Oil works to provide relief to dry skin, itchiness, tightness and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It is also a recommended bath product for babies who suffer from nappy rash, prickly heat, cradle cap or just having sensitive skin. Baby had a couple of these conditions, namely mild eczema, prickly heat and nappy rash. To be fair, I won’t say that it was solely this cream bath oil that helped him get better from each of these problems. We saw that he had these conditions treated and taken care of, but Eubos Cream Bath Oil was a constant product that we used because we saw the major improvement it did to his skin condition.
How to use Eubos Cream Bath Oil
This is only a personal suggestion, you can use it any way you feel is best.
Fill the bathtub with warm water. Then add the Eubos Cream Bath Oil into the tub. I don’t use very much of it, just one gentle squeeze of the bottle and I have enough bath oil to mix up the half full bathtub. I don’t use a lot of it because when used excessively, it can be quite unpleasant as the water gets a bit too oily and murky.
Let baby into the bathtub and wash him gently with the bath water. No other body soap is required. I was also told that this is a head to toe solution so I assume you can also omit using a shampoo if you wish to. But I do shampoo baby’s hair with the Sebamed baby shampoo anyway.
When baby is done with the bath, pat him dry with a towel. That’s it, nothing else! A word of caution when using this cream bath oil. It can leave the skin a little slippery since it is oil-based, so be careful when handling baby. Make sure you have a firm grip when carrying baby out of the tub.
Since using this cream bath oil, we do not use moisturisers or powders on baby. This cream bath oil contains moisturising properties and leaves skin feeling soft, supple and moisturised after bath. I simply love the touch of baby’s smooth and soft skin after his bath!
Eubos suggests two ways to using this cream bath oil. The first is like what I’ve described above, pouring the oil into a tub of water. The other way is if you are showering your baby instead of giving him a bath. You can then use it as though using any shower cream, slathering the cream bath oil on baby’s body. I personally do not recommend the showering way simply because this oil is slippery in nature and having baby standing on the slippery bathroom floor caused by the bath oil is not a good idea. If showering is the way to go for you, perhaps you can think about laying a rubber base onto your tiled bathroom floor. It may still be slippery on the rubber mat, but probably not as slippery as compared to a tiled flooring.
You can find Eubos Cream Bath Oil at major personal care outlets like Guardian and Watsons. I normally buy them when I see discounts going on, which would cost me about RM28 for a 200ml bottle that comes with a sample size bottle for free. This little sample size bottle is perfect when travelling, so it’s a very good deal for us. Each 200ml bottle also lasts us a long time because you don’t need to use a lot of it for each bath time.
I hope this cream bath oil works for your baby. Even if your baby does not have any skin problem, you may still use this so that baby has nice, soft skin. An adult version of this cream bath oil is also available. Look out for it in a blue bottle!

Hey, I used it on Hayley too when she was 4 mths old cause she developed eczema and cradle cap. It worked wonders.. I found out from your blog
. I am still using it now and after bath I will apply Sebamed Baby Cream on her as well (double protection) just to be sure. Now her eczema is gone but occasionally she does get rashes..
I’m glad that it works for your little Hayley too, Amy. Isn’t Eubos almost a God-sent gift for those who have skin problems?
I also use Sebamed Baby cream and I find it quite helpful too. I think the rashes are quite common, my boy has them too. It might be the hot weather causing them to sweat and develop the rash. You can try Elomet if you think it warrants the use of medication. But do check with your paed before using for safety sake.
Hi Penny,
I have used the Eubos cream bath oil for only a week but my daughter’s skin condition did not improve, does it take a while to see the result?
Hi Puteri Sarah, you can try using it longer. I guess the extent it can help also depends on whether the condition is mild or a bit more serious. And of course it may not work 100% of the time for everyone. But do give it more time as long as it’s not showing any adverse effect on your daughter. Try using some moisturiser to help too. I find Sebamed good for my son’s skin too.
the sad thing is there is no permament cure for Psoriasis. we can only manage the itchiness by using corticosteroids.
That’s true. It is unfortunate indeed.
