Last week wasn’t quite a good week for us. Ryan fell ill 2 weekends ago and I was worried for those few days that he had a fever. For a few nights I didn’t get good sleep because I was worried that he’ll develop high fever in the middle of the night. Thankfully, it wasn’t like that. But Ryan did wake up a lot because he felt uncomfortable with a blocked nose and his cough was irritating him as well. Whenever he tried to cough out the phlegm, he would vomit. The poor boy.
But now he’s alright, with no fever anymore. His running nose is slight and we hardly hear him cough already. He’s no longer under medication as I found that it made him weak. The medication is supposed to make him drowsy and sleepy, but knowing Ryan, he just refused to rest and sleep even when drowsy and tired! As a result, he had red swollen eyes and it made my heart ache to see him like that. He’s much better off with no medication at the moment.
That was one negative event that happened to us last week. But it wasn’t the end of it for me. Sometime in the middle of the week, as I was rushing to go to work, I broke a Pyrex cover which belongs to Ryan’s nanny. Luckily the glass pieces didn’t get me. I felt pretty bad for breaking something that doesn’t belong to me, so I need to go shopping for a replacement although the babysitter tells me it’s okay. I don’t feel nice, you know what I mean? That’s why I’m waiting up for that Pyrex warehouse sale that’s coming up in early December to try to find one at a more affordable price.
Then, on the same morning that I broke the Pyrex cover, I met with an accident. A car swerved into my lane and luckily I managed to get out of its way a little, which resulted in the car banging into the back of my car. The bang sounded very loud and impactful at that moment and I was thinking it must be pretty damaging to the car. But thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as I thought. The worse thing that happened from the accident is that the fella who hit me just ran off! So I gotta foot the repair bill by myself. I haven’t found out how much the auto accessories and the repair works will cost me though.
I’m just wondering if my streak of “bad luck” is over yet. People say bad things happen in 3s. So can I consider all the above 3 bad things already? Maybe I should and then the case is closed! Does it work that way?

Yeah I’m glad everything’s just fine with me. Must also thank my lucky star that nothing seriously wrong came out of it
