After dinner, we carried around a full stomach but I still wanted to drop by Baskin Robbins to buy baby his first taste of ice cream. We walked in, found a seat and I proceeded to the counter to choose a flavour. I didn’t want fancy flavours so I stuck to the very safe choice of vanilla (yeah, so much for choosing a flavour!).
A single regular scoop of vanilla ice cream at Baskin Robbins cost me RM7.90. What’s RM7.90 for a priceless moment to watch my little boy fall in love with ice cream, right? I happily fished out the camera and got ready to snap away at a little face that will surely light up in delight…

So there we were, scooping a little ice cream onto the spoon and the little eager mouth opened. No delightful smile, no lit up eyes, no clapping of baby hands. Instead, he looked displeased! Surprised, I scooped another tiny bit and wanted to try again. This time, he shook his head and turned away!
So the sign was clear…my little boy does not like ice cream. At least for this point in time anyway. But I thought all babies love them? Or maybe not at the first taste of it because they’re not used to the chilling cold of ice cream? I’ll probably wait a while before letting him try it again…you reckon it’ll be a better try next time?
