Mummy under house-arrest!

by Penny on September 21, 2011

Yes, I’ve been under house-arrest for the last 1.5 months. I think my release date should be coming soon…

Why am I under house-arrest? Err…let’s just say my body reacts very violently towards hCG, also known as pregnancy hormones. It keeps me extremely busy holding back my hair to throw up, and it keeps me dazed through dizzy spells. All day long! I refuse to call it morning sickness because it doesn’t just happen in the morning.

Anyway, it’s now week 16 of pregnancy which means I’m into my second trimester. By now the most disturbing discomforts have mostly left me alone, for which I’m so thankful. I never want to think of those past few weeks again!

Today is a good day and that’s why I’m taking advantage of it to stay as long as I can on the computer, and to quickly put in a guilty post as it’s been 2 months since I keep vowing to keep this blog alive!

I look forward to many things that I’ve missed during this period…including work (hard to believe!). You never know what you will miss until they are taken away from you. It’s true.

Congrats on your pregnancy and feeling better now! I can understand the “whole day” sickness thing, had that for my first pregnancy. But no, I don’t miss work, just want to slack through the whole pregnancy and stay at home most of the time. Ha… All the best!
