People can’t tell if my boy is a boy

by Penny on October 11, 2008

We recently took the little boy for his third and final dose of pneumococcal jab (read more about this vaccination from my earlier post). There, I met a lady who asked me if my baby is a boy or girl. I told her I’ve got a baby boy and she smiled and said “First time I see a boy looking like a girl”. So have I got a pretty boy or what? You be the judge…

Here’s my little one, making his first appearance on this blog.

Cut his hair short lah, sure won’t be mistaken as a girl. On the bright side, when he grows up he’ll be as handsome as Japanese or Korean stars :D

He is good looking and yeah, he could be mistaken for a girl :) I think it’s because of his nice eyebrows and smile…

I wouldn’t worry about it now – he’ll definitely be a handsome chap later!

Can’t simply show everyone what’s in the pants each time they ask ma…haha.

Victor, thank you! A boy he truly is!

Wa, we cut his hair already but it grows so fast and he hates haircuts! Hehe, you sure know how to make a mother happy with the compliments on the little boy! :D

KittyCat, I so wish to claim credit for the nice eyebrows and smile! Haha.

Ivy, he sure acts like a boy with his boisterous ways! :)

He look like a boy la :-)

I have the same reaction from others with my girl even when she is wearing a dress :-(

Amy, I’m sure that’s not very nice to hear :( People should be more observant about the dressing before saying something like that!

Well, some people just say without thinking.. can’t help it…

hehee, when my brother was young, everyone thought he is a girl too. And i often dress him up as a girl :P But now, he has grew up to become a handsome boy. So it’s fine!

Amy, don’t take heart, just be glad that baby is healthy and happy :)

MsSheepy, you dressed him up as a girl??! Naughty sister. Haha. I’m sure all that matters is the present. You must be very proud of him :)

I brought my son along to the dentist the other day and while waiting for my maid’s teeth to be extracted, the doctor wanna give my son a toy to play while waiting. He asked if my son is girl !!

Haha, thank you!

Oh dear, it happened to you too! Never mind, we just take it as a compliment that we’ve got “pretty boys”! :)
