Snoring baby

by Penny on February 19, 2008

My little boy has been snoring in his sleep since he was about 2+ months old. I’m not sure if this is caused by some nasal congestion or it’s because he’s tired out. I wasn’t sure if snoring is something natural for such a young baby so I did some research and found that whilst occassional snores are nothing to be alarmed about, a frequently snoring baby could be suffering from sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea is a disorder that affects baby’s breathing and needs medical attention. I didn’t think it could turn out as such but from now on I shall be monitoring baby’s snoring to gauge if he’s a frequent snorer or just the occassional one.

Parents out there, take note too if your baby is snoring.
