While he’s doing so well at learning things at this stage, we thought it might be time to introduce him to a potty. I know the article I posted here says that baby should be able to take to potty training better in the later part, I thought if we could start him a little early, it’s no harm to anybody. He has very good bowel movements and just today, he went 3 times! Sometimes (in this case especially!) it does help to lessen everybody’s work if he’s potty trained. I’ve heard of babies who are trained when they’re not even 1 month old yet!
So today, we bought baby his very first potty…We saw many different kinds, from the most basic potty to fancy ones that look like you’re putting your baby on a pony ride rather than a potty. I suppose those have their advantages, like ensuring baby sits there longer to get his job fully done instead of losing interest in the potty halfway through.
We put each and every potty to the test by having baby sit on them and see how they fared. They all seemed kinda big for him, his but sank in most of them. So now might be the time you tell me “This goes to show it’s too early to potty train baby!”. Well, maybe…but we did find one that fit him perfectly well and it’s the most basic potty that cost us nothing more than RM5!
We’ll start him off with this and see how he fares. If it doesn’t work, I won’t be too hard on him since I didn’t spend a fortune on his potty. How do you like his sweet green little potty?
