What is "milk cod" fish?

by Penny on April 14, 2008

Baby is now eating porridge twice a day. Our babysitter uses fish, some vegetables like brocolli, carrots or spinach, potatoes and dried scallops to cook the porridge. Yesterday we went to an organic shop to buy the weekly supply of fish. I was contemplating between cod fish and kurau.

I decided to ask the owner of the shop for her recommendations as she has five kids of her own. She recommended two types, the cod fish and the milk cod. I have no idea what milk cod is, I’ve never even heard of it. But that’s also because my knowledge of fish is highly limited since I’m not a fish person.

I ran searches on the internet but I haven’t found anything about it. The closest match I could find is something called the milk fish. My colleague told me about the milk fish earlier today when I asked him, but I’m not sure if milk cod and milk fish is the same thing.

Anyone knows anything about this?
