What is ring worm?

by Penny on January 21, 2008

My baby seems to be having ring worm, but I can’t really confirm if that’s exactly what it is. I don’t even know what ring worm is!

Any parents out there who has a tip or two for me? Appreciate it very much. Thanks!

When I was in the Army, I got ring worm on my leg in 3 places. It took forever to go away. The doctor said it was from maybe the shower rooms where heat and moisture help fungi grow and that it was not a worm but an infection of the skin. I think I was given a cream for it and cleared up in two weeks.

thanks for sharing, ahna. now that you mention heat and moisture, it seems about right because where i come from, there’s plenty of heat!
