Sin Yee, haha, at least he's pretending to use it! It can easily be for real one day!

Erin, he probably thinks it's a nice seat!

Here's something we tried over the weekend and it worked for a while. We took him to the bathroom and removed his diaper, then asked him to pee. He dutifully did. Then we washed him up and put on his shorts, without the diaper. We then told him that the next time he wants to pee or poo, he should tell us and we would go to the toilet and do it there like he just did. He agreed and he actually did tell us when he wanted to pee!! But soon after we had to put on his diaper again to let him take his nap. I thought it was some kind of progress although it didn't involve him sitting on the potty but using the bathroom directly.

Just started trying to potty train my two year old and it's not going well. He likes to sit on the potty, but has no intention of actually going potty in the potty. So let me know if you find anything that works.

Mine is turning 2 this Sept. Have not started. Laziness on mummy's part. But I have a nice super cute potty given by a friend. Well, it has become my boy's toy now. He will seriously PRETEND to use it.

Emily, thanks for sharing your post! :) I do have a friend whose mum helped her potty train her baby who was just a few weeks old back then. Amazing!

Busy Bee, I don't think you're a lazy mum, just the type who prefers to let nature take its course and a patient one indeed who doesn't sweat the small stuff! Salute!

Mike, thanks for sharing the site. So you must be pretty happy with the kit to recommend it. Will have a look at it :)

Julie, I can sense your urgency to have him trained since you're sending him to school already...hopefully some of the comments here from others can help you with the process. Good luck and do share your stories here afterwards! :)

My boy will be turning 2 in Oct and he's not potty trained yet. I'm anxious as well as I plan to let him start schooling next year. Yeah, he won't want to sit on the potty or stand to pee for more than 2 seconds. Sometimes he don't even allow me to take off his pants.
