When okay doesn’t mean anything

by Penny on January 5, 2009

We have recently taught the boy more words and one of them include ‘okay’. He says it in a rather cute way and we love hearing it. So we ask him a lot of questions and ask him if it’s okay and he’ll say okay. But of course, he doesn’t understand that an okay is an agreement and he continues to do what we have agreed he won’t do!

To test if he really understood what okay is, we asked him a series of questions, from logical to strange things and true enough, he answered okay to everything. So whilst we may seem to be the proud parents who will sit him down to talk and reason things out and even get him to agree with us by saying okay, we actually get nothing out of it other than his adorable okay.

But that’s okay with me because I just love hearing it…he can say it all day for all I care, even if he doesn’t mean it! Okay, okay, okay? :)

Yeah, I can’t get enough of it! Maybe I should record it and playback as and when I want to hear it at work?! ;)
