Recently we decided to buy a cup for the boy to start training him to drink away from the milk bottle. So we bought him this Nuby GripNSip Cup which comes with a rubber grips on each side of the cup. The straw is pretty short so that it makes it easier to be sucked on and it’s made of soft rubber for the child’s safety. This cup cost RM29.90 at Metrojaya’s children department and they come in various bright and cheerful colours.

Then, we also bought a Nuby set of fork and spoon that comes with a plastic casing. It makes traveling easier as the container will prevent the used fork and spoon from causing food stains onto other stuff in the baby bag. The set comes with 2 spoons and 2 forks and all of them can fit into the one container. They also come in bright cheery colours. All kids’ stuff do, don’t they? This cost me RM14.90 at Metrojaya.

Nuby Travel Utensil Set
Two days after I bought these items, I was at a World Of Cartoon outlet at Mid Valley and I saw the same Nuby products. Just out of curiosity, I picked up the same travel utensil set and checked out the price. I almost flipped! Guess how much it was selling at World Of Cartoon? It was selling at RM29.90 versus what I paid at Metrojaya for RM14.90! On top of that, there was some discounts at Metrojaya and I only ended up paying RM11+.
I’m just wondering how come there’s no price control over such products across different outlets. It’s not a matter of a couple of dollars more, it’s double the price! Quite ridiculous, don’t you agree? So the next time you need to buy stuff like these, don’t head straight to World Of Cartoon thinking prices are the same everywhere else. Shop around first and you may find better deals elsewhere.

World of Cartoon – making US the cartoon!! I never really favoured them anyway. They usually sell un-branded stuff at the price of branded stuff. Next time, have a look at their strollers and walkers – relatively more expensive!
Haha, that’s a good way to put it. Without doing any price comparison before, I used to think their prices are the same as elsewhere. Now I know better, and it looks like I’m not the only one who say so.
My hometown is in Ipoh, there is a World of Cartoon outlet there. Sometimes, they have sales for children’s clothings…. very nice and cheap… my mom always buy a lot of clothes from there whenever there are sales… you know, those lovely disney clothes…
I agree that some of their clothing are quite affordable. I just never realised that the non-clothes items are so expensive.
